KUALA LUMPUR: Popular social media personality Dr Afifah Hidayah Ahmad Tawfek, widely known as Dr Fie, recently exchanged vows with airline captain and entrepreneur Amrul Nizar Anuar. The 36-year-old dentist solemnized her marriage in the presence of her father at 10 a.m., receiving one gold dinar as dowry. Dressed in classic white attire, the newlyweds celebrated their special day with close family and friends.
Prior to the nuptials, Dr Fie's mother, Dr Zailah Zainuddin, posted a video on Threads showing her daughter in a pink outfit during the henna night ceremony, alongside her three children. She expressed joy over her daughter's fresh start, writing "Praise be to God, congrats dear daughter." Netizens shared well-wishes on social media, with one friend, Noor, highlighting how Dr Fie had successfully moved past her previous heartbreak.
Dr Fie, also known as Dayah, is a second-time bride, having previously married singer Nubhan Ahamad in 2015 before their divorce in December last year. They share three children: Aafiya, 9, Ahmad Aafan, 7, and Afzan Nayille, 4. The bride-to-be will also be joining a list of divorcees, as Amrul Nizar is also a former spouse.
