Russell Dickerson to Appear on ‘9-1-1: Nashville’: ‘The Cast & Crew Made Me Feel Right at Home’
The television series also stars country singer and actress LeAnn Rimes.
Country singer Russell Dickerson is set to make an appearance on the upcoming episode of ABC's 9-1-1: Nashville titled "In Cold Blood." The episode will air on November 5 and will see Dickerson sharing scenes with fellow country singer LeAnn Rimes, who plays Dixie Bennings, a former backup singer and old friend of Captain Don Hart.
Dickerson shared his excitement about the experience, stating, "This was a whole new experience for me and it was incredible!" The cast and crew reportedly made him feel right at home, with Rimes being particularly welcoming. While details about Dickerson's role in the episode are limited, a logline indicates that he will be connected to a flight that Dixie is traveling on.
The episode also introduces a new dispatch manager and revolves around Rogue sharing his tragic past with Don and Ryan. Dixie will ultimately reveal a secret of her own during a performance. This is not Dickerson's first time on the show; he previously appeared as himself in the series premiere and MacKenzie Porter has had a recurring role as an ER doctor.
Dickerson has had five No. 1 hits on Billboard's Country Airplay chart and a top 40 hit on the Pop Airplay chart with "I Remember." His upcoming album, Famous Back Home, features the hit "Worth Your Wild."
