Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan found himself in the middle of a heated altercation with Zimbabwe batter Ryan Burl during the match. The clash occurred in the ninth over and quickly became a hot topic among cricket enthusiasts. However, Rashid managed to turn the situation around with a lighthearted gesture after Burl's dismissal, which quickly became viral on social media.
Burl was visibly upset with Rashid's comments in the heat of the moment, but the Afghan bowler's response showed a blend of frustration and respect. Leading up to the incident, Burl aimed to hit a fuller delivery from Rashid towards the leg side but missed. The Afghan spinner then engaged in a brief exchange of words with the Zimbabwean batter, who did not take the comments well.
The umpires had to step in to prevent the situation from escalating further. The argument didn't end with the over, as Burl continued to verbally spar with Rashid. After Burl was eventually dismissed by Abdullah Ahmadzai in the following over, Rashid was caught on camera blowing flying kisses towards the departing Zimbabwean batter.
The playful display provided a humorous counterpoint to their earlier disagreement, adding another memorable moment to the clash between the two players.
