PZ Cussons shareholders approve N9.926bn dividend payout

Shareholders of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc have overwhelmingly approved a dividend payout of N9.926bn for the 2026 financial year during their 78th Annual General Meeting in Abuja. Each shareholder is set to receive N2.50k per ordinary share of N50k. The Board of Directors, led by Chair Mrs Ifueko Okauru, announced the implementation of a Scrip Dividend Scheme, allowing eligible shareholders to receive new shares instead of cash dividends.

The company highlighted its strong resilience and improved operating performance, citing a restructured balance sheet and a shift from a negative equity position. Shareholders praised the board and management for effectively managing the business despite Nigeria's challenging economic climate. The final dividend of N2.5m is expected to be paid on 6 November 2026.
