Punjab Transporters Can Now Check Drivers’ Records for Free

The Punjab Traffic Police has launched a new service to allow transporters to check drivers' criminal records, driving licenses, and traffic challans, free of charge. This facility is available throughout the province, and transporters can verify driver details at relevant traffic offices. The Traffic Police urges transporters to conduct thorough driver background checks before hiring them and to prioritize hiring fit and well-trained drivers.

In the first half of this year, there has been a 35% decrease in fatal accidents on roads under the Punjab Traffic Police's jurisdiction. Muhammad Waqas Nazir, a spokesperson for the Punjab Traffic Police, emphasized that the agency continues to take proactive measures to prevent accidents and safeguard lives. By providing this driver record verification service, the Traffic Police aims to further reduce traffic accidents and enhance road safety.
