Nine dead in small plane crash near Trump's Florida home

Nine individuals lost their lives in a small plane crash near Trump's Florida residence, Palm Beach, Florida. The Learjet 60, carrying 9 passengers, plummeted into a residential area, just miles away from the renowned Mar-a-Lago resort home of the U.S. President. Several unverified video clips circulating on social media depict the aircraft striking the ground at high velocity, igniting a massive fireball and leaving a flaming crater near a busy road.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy expressed his deep sorrow, confirming the tragic loss of all nine people on board. The private jet departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas en route to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it met its untimely end. Witnesses reported hearing the crash sound like a missile.

The crash site, Cresthaven, is located less than seven miles from Mar-a-Lago. President Trump, who had been at Mar-a-Lago earlier in the day, departed from the nearby President Donald J Trump International Airport around 11:55 am, an hour before the Learjet crash. FAA and NTSB are conducting an investigation into the incident, with ATC audio capturing the final moments before the tragedy.
