TikTok sensation Druski has inked a multiyear development deal with Netflix, set to kick off with the premiere of his original series "Collect & Praise" on December 1. The creator, who boasts over 15.6 million followers, will team up with 4LIFERS Entertainment to develop and produce various original series for the streaming giant.
The first project revolves around Druski's popular megachurch character, a money-grubbing pastor, and his unpredictable deacon, played by Mike Epps. The comedy-drama explores their escapades through scandals, chaos, and controversies, with the series being described as semi-scripted to make use of Druski's improvisational talents.
Speaking on the deal, Druski expressed excitement about the partnership, saying it will allow him to leverage his character-building skills and reach a wider audience. John Derderian, Netflix's vice president of content and head of Animation Series and Kids and Family TV, welcomed Druski's addition to the platform, highlighting the importance of partnering with top talent to bring ambitious projects to life and tap into new markets.
In addition to "Collect & Praise," Netflix will also license select content from Druski's existing catalog, including "Coulda Been Love," "Coulda Been Daddy," "Coulda Been Records Auditions," and his comedic skits. Druski will also make history as the first-ever creator host on "Saturday Night Live" and will star in "The Catch" alongside Emma Stone and Chris Pine, as well as develop the comedic movie "The Diggers" with Kenya Barris.
