KNEC releases Monday timetable as 2026 KCSE exams enter Week 3

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has unveiled the schedule for Monday, November 2, 2026, as the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams enter their third week. In a recent post on its X account, KNEC expressed good wishes to all candidates as they prepare to take their scheduled examination papers. "Best wishes to all the candidates," the council stated.

Candidates will begin their morning session from 8am to 10am, with English (Functional Skills) as the first paper. Candidates requiring Braille and hearing-impaired examination formats will have additional time until 10.30am to complete their papers. Following a break between 10.30am and 2pm, the afternoon session will commence at 2pm. Candidates will sit Chemistry for two hours, concluding the examination by 4pm.

KNEC has urged candidates to adhere strictly to the examination guidelines and maintain focus throughout the remaining papers. The schedule release comes a day after KNEC CEO David Njengere provided reminders to examination centre managers and field officers. Njengere instructed officials to ensure examination containers are opened at 7am and prohibited mobile phones within examination centres during sessions.

Centre managers were directed to maintain authorized personnel lists, with everyone needing to present original national identity cards for identification.

Additionally, KNEC reminded candidates, parents, and teachers to avoid individuals claiming to provide examination papers illegally, as such actions could result in fraud and legal consequences.
