Jaguars are enjoying a home-field advantage missing for years, even decades
(AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have a legitimate home-field advantage for the first time in years, even decades. And there's only one explanation for it: These cats are clawless no more.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have experienced a resurgence in home-field advantage, a rarity for a team that has struggled at their own stadium in recent years. Under coach Liam Coen, the Jaguars have gone undefeated at EverBank Stadium this season, compiling a 10-1 record over the past two years. This turnaround is a stark contrast to the team's below .500 home record in 11 of the previous 15 years, and it appears to be driven by a combination of pride, supply-and-demand dynamics, and strong performances against their opponents.
The Jaguars' ability to score touchdowns on three of their first five possessions against the Indianapolis Colts, leading to a 28-0 halftime lead, exemplifies their newfound dominance at home.
