I’ll trade Ballon d’Or for Champions League — Kane

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has expressed a preference for winning the UEFA Champions League over his recent Ballon d'Or accolade. During a press conference preceding Bayern's Champions League matchup against Atletico Madrid, Kane commented to Spanish publication Marca, "Yes, I would choose the Champions League." The 2026 Ballon d'Or winner, Kane emphasized that lifting the European club title would provide a unique sense of accomplishment due to the chance to celebrate with his teammates and the club.

While the England captain acknowledged the significance of the Ballon d'Or, he expressed a desire to obtain both honors with Bayern, stating that success in both areas was within his reach. Kane's remarks follow a lengthy pursuit of major club achievements, as he spent the majority of his career at Tottenham Hotspur without securing a significant trophy.

Since joining Bayern in August 2023, Kane has yet to add the Champions League to his collection, despite claiming the Bundesliga, German Cup, and German Super Cup titles with the German club since his move.
