Dubai has streamlined the process for international visitors to obtain a tourist visa, enhancing its standing as a premier global tourism and business hub. Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed unveiled plans to reward loyal tourists and integrate more visa services onto Visit Dubai, the city's official tourism portal. Prospective visitors can now apply for single-entry, multiple-entry, or even a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa through this unified platform, which also offers access to information and tools to plan their itinerary.
The UAE offers various types of tourist visas, catering to different travel purposes. Single-entry tourist visas allow visitors to enter the country once for up to 30 or 60 days, while multiple-entry visas permit multiple entries and exits within the visa's validity period. A five-year multiple-entry tourist visa is available for frequent visitors, permitting stays of up to 90 days with possible extensions.
Apart from tourist visas, Dubai also provides other types of visit visas. Family members and friends of UAE residents can apply for a visit visa for relatives or friends, subject to income requirements. Additionally, visitors attending specific events, festivals, exhibitions, or conferences can obtain event visas. Specialized visas, such as those for maritime tourism or transit, are also available for specific groups of travelers.
In certain cases, travelers may be granted visa-on-arrival or visa-free entry, depending on their nationality and the duration of their stay.
