Honouring Legacies: Deloitte celebrates former partners in a bid to deepen mentorship

Deloitte Ghana commemorates its past partners in an effort to enhance mentorship across generations and strengthen professional relationships. The gathering allowed former leaders to share their experiences and insights with the current partnership, while reflecting on the firm's remarkable growth. Daniel Owusu, the country Managing Partner, expressed pride in the firm's journey from four partners in 2016 to fourteen in 2026.

Beyond celebrating its history and leadership, Deloitte Ghana emphasized how its culture of service extends to the wider community. The firm participates in tree-planting activities for Earth Day, Deloitte Volunteer Day visits to schools, and the opening of school libraries. West African CEO, Yomi Olugbenro, highlighted that leadership extends beyond the workplace, and periodic activities such as these foster mentorship among younger generations and contribute to the firm's future.

Former Managing Partner, Kwame Kye, expressed gratitude for the firm's transformation and urged the leadership to continue making a meaningful impact. Abena Biney, an Audit Partner and lead for alumni relations at Deloitte, explained that the event honored the firm's beginnings and the individuals who built its foundation, while also promoting knowledge sharing, mentorship, and future collaboration among its contributors.

Deloitte Ghana's commitment to societal impact has led to tangible results, such as planting over 1,100 trees in 2023, visiting primary and junior high schools, and establishing eight school libraries through the Deloitte Global WorldClass programme.
