Gordon insists Barca are on a par with PSG, Real Madrid
Barcelona winger Anthony Gordon says his team are not below the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, despite recent defeats by both sides.
Barcelona midfielder Anthony Gordon has stated that his team are not inferior to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) or Real Madrid, despite recent defeats to both clubs. Barcelona lost 4-2 against PSG on October 20 in Paris and 2-1 to Real Madrid in a Clasico on October 25. The Spanish champions last won the Champions League in 2015, and there are concerns about their performance in high-stakes matches.
Gordon attributes their losses to fatigue, as PSG rested their entire squad during the PSG game, while Barcelona did not have the same luxury. He contends that Barcelona were the superior side in both games, demonstrating all-possession and creating better scoring opportunities. Gordon remains confident in his team's abilities and looks forward to facing Premier League side Aston Villa in their upcoming Champions League match.
