Ghana Publishing Company records GH¢16.9m profit in 2025, up 661% – MD

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) reported a remarkable profit after tax of GH¢16.96 million for the 2025 financial year, marking an astounding 661.36 percent increase compared to the GH¢2.23 million profit in 2024. Managing Director Nana Kwasi Boatey attributed this significant improvement to a combination of factors, including increased revenue, enhanced operational efficiency, stringent expenditure controls, and management reforms implemented since his appointment in February 2025.

Boatey emphasized that the 2025 financial year represented a pivotal turning point in GPCL's financial recovery journey. The company's audited financial results revealed a substantial surge in revenue, which rose from GH¢60.78 million in 2024 to GH¢72.85 million in 2025, reflecting a 19.87 percent growth. Operating profit experienced an equally impressive increase, climbing from GH¢2.95 million to a substantial GH¢19.58 million, representing a remarkable 564.66 percent rise.

Additionally, profit before tax witnessed an upward trajectory, expanding from GH¢3.41 million to GH¢21.44 million.

Boatey's remarks came at the Government Accountability Series at Jubilee House on Monday, November 2. He expressed that the company's strengthened financial position, resulting from the improved performance, had paved the way for further investment opportunities. He highlighted that GPCL had transitioned from a state of financial strain to a position of robust profitability and sustainable growth.

Furthermore, Boatey disclosed that the company had continued its impressive performance into the first ten months of 2026, positioning itself on track to surpass its 2025 results.
