Exclusive: Guardz brings Palo Alto Networks browser protection to MSPs serving small businesses

Cybersecurity firm Guardz Cyber Ltd. has integrated Palo Alto Networks' browser protection solution, Prisma Browser for Business, into its platform for managed service providers focusing on small businesses. This integration aims to address phishing attacks that can bypass other security tools by targeting the browser as the main entry point for malicious activities.

Shivam Srivastava, Palo Alto Networks' vice president of product, highlighted that the browser is now considered the "office" for many small businesses. The Prisma Browser for Business solution can block suspicious pages when a malicious link is clicked, and Guardz then correlates this browser event with the related email, Microsoft 365 activity, and endpoint telemetry for the same user identity.

This enables Guardz's 24/7 managed detection and response team to handle the entire incident chain as a single event. Palo Alto Networks' Prisma Browser for Business employs machine-learning models for phishing detection, advanced URL filtering to block malicious sites, and WildFire service for analyzing suspicious files. Guardz Co-founder and CEO Dor Eisner emphasized that the browser is the "primary gateway to the modern workspace," and the company's agents on Guardz's platform allow providers to investigate threats autonomously across the entire workspace.

The setup process is managed by Guardz, handling provisioning and default configuration. Early-access provider Datawise Networks Inc. reported a smooth rollout through their remote monitoring and management software, with the browser extension becoming available for all Chrome and Edge profiles within minutes. Guardz also provides AI Usage and Control features to set separate policies for generative AI services used in the browser, restricting activities like copying, pasting, and file transfers.

Additionally, Guardz has introduced a report offering providers a per-client view of AI tool usage. Palo Alto Networks acquired Israeli startup Talon Cyber Security Ltd. in 2023, leading to the launch of Prisma Browser for Business in the U.S. in March. Guardz, a venture capital-backed startup, has raised $84 million in funding, including a $56 million Series B round led by ClearSky in June 2025.
