‘Embarrassing’ – Neville and Carragher hammer Liverpool player for ‘ridiculous’ moment at Anfield

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher criticized Liverpool player Mac Allister’s behavior during his team’s loss to Arsenal at Anfield. The incident occurred during a flashpoint between players, involving Noni Madueke making contact with Alexis Mac Allister’s head. Carragher expressed his frustration with Mac Allister’s reaction, calling it "embarrassing" and "ridiculous."

He emphasized that such behavior should not be tolerated and called for stricter enforcement of red cards. Neville agreed, stating that Mac Allister's actions were unnecessary and that VAR recognized the embarrassment of Mac Allister's reaction. Both pundits urged Mac Allister to learn from his mistake and hoped that Andoni Iraola would address the issue with the player.
