On November 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls controversy. Shah warned that the people of India would hold the Opposition accountable if they continued their "politics of anarchy." Taking to social media, Shah accused the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress of being "completely exposed" and threatened that its leaders would have "no place to hide their faces" if they did not stop their destabilizing tactics.
The Congress party's rally in Delhi on November 1 was dismissed by Shah as a "flop show," with the Home Minister accusing the Opposition of seeking to protect alleged infiltrators through bogus voting.
