Accidents claims two lives in Aba, injure others

Two lives were tragically lost and several others injured in road accidents that occurred in Aba, Abia State on Friday and Sunday. The first incident took place at the Osisioma Flyover junction, where a truck collided with a shop. A male victim passed away at the scene, while approximately six other individuals sustained injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the truck was traveling at a high speed when it suddenly lost control, crashing into the bustling area and striking both traders and pedestrians. It remains unclear whether the accident was caused by the driver's reckless actions or a mechanical failure of the vehicle. The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Abia State confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased was an adult male.

Later on Sunday morning, another fatal accident occurred on Port Harcourt Road, where an unidentified man lost his life while on his way to church. He was struck from behind by a fast-moving motorcycle, resulting in his untimely demise. These unfortunate events have claimed two lives and left numerous people injured in Aba, Abia State.
