Nontandi Harmaans, 40, says she has spent her life without an identity document, leaving her unable to secure formal employment. Her three children also have no birth certificates and cannot access the child support grant. Her family says years of attempts to resolve the matter have failed, while Home Affairs has yet to respond to questions.
