(2nd LD) Lee vows bold investment in AI, future growth engines for 'growth for all'

President Lee Jae Myung has committed to significant investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and other future growth industries during his speech at the National Assembly. The president aims to boost South Korea's economic growth potential and ensure "growth for all" by passing the 2027 budget bill. The proposed budget of 820.9 trillion won (US$614.5 billion) for next year represents a 12.8 percent increase, the largest annual growth on record, and will be guided by the president's pledge for equitable economic growth.
