Real Madrid extend winning run with 3-0 victory at Racing Santander
Third-placed Real Madrid moved to within three points of Barcelona as Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande secured a sixth straight win.
Real Madrid secured a 3-0 victory over Racing Santander in LaLiga on Sunday, extending their winning streak to six consecutive matches across all competitions. Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Yan Diomande scored the goals. The win brings Real closer to leaders Barcelona and second-placed Atletico Madrid, with the gap now at three points.
Racing, currently 16th, finds themselves one point away from the relegation zone. Coach Jose Mourinho's side dominated the match, controlling a largely uneventful second half. Diomande, who has been in excellent form recently, was the star of the show with his goal. Despite Racing's strong performance, they were unable to threaten Real's defense, which limited them to a single shot on target.
Mourinho praised his forwards for their role in the defensive work, noting the positive impact it has on the team. Real Madrid will next face AEK Athens in the Champions League on Wednesday.
