Former UK Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Tony Radakin is confident that Ukraine will emerge victorious in the conflict against Russia. Speaking at the Support Ukraine — Protect Europe event in Brussels, Admiral Radakin highlighted several factors contributing to Ukraine's potential success. He praised Ukraine's ability to quickly adapt to evolving circumstances, rapidly scale up drone production, and inflict heavy blows on the Russian military.
According to him, Ukraine has developed a remarkable capability to strike Russia and hinder their army's progress. This achievement, Radakin noted, is the result of collective efforts across the Ukrainian nation. He further emphasized that Ukraine's ability to extend combat operations into Russian territory and inflict greater losses on the Russian forces offers valuable lessons for modern warfare.
However, Radakin also pointed out that Ukraine's economic situation has deteriorated significantly over the past four months, suggesting that European allies must provide additional financial support and reinforce their defense efforts. Ultimately, he believes that the key to ending the war lies in coercing Russian President Vladimir Putin into negotiating, which can only be achieved through Ukraine's sustained offensive actions on Russian soil.
