Barcelona bounced back from recent defeats with a dominant 6-1 win over Alaves at Camp Nou, reclaiming the La Liga lead. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal each scored twice in the first half, followed by additional goals from Fermin Lopez, Yamal, Anthony Gordon, and Mariano Diaz, who pulled one back for Alaves. Foremost among the players' performances was Lopez, who credited the Catalan faithful for their comeback.
The club's coach Hansi Flick praised the attacking lineup's resurgence after a Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain and a La Liga loss to rivals Real Madrid. The match began with a minute's silence for the 69 victims of a recent train crash in Toledo.
