We are working to improve our consistency – Interim Kotoko coach Hamza Obeng

Asante Kotoko's interim head coach Hamza Obeng expressed his team's commitment to enhancing consistency ahead of their upcoming match against defending Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC. The Porcupine Warriors are scheduled to host Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, with the Kick-off set for 15:00 GMT. Currently sitting in eighth position on the league table with 12 points, Kotoko has been facing challenges in maintaining a consistent run of results in their recent matches.

The team has managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Ashantigold 04, suffered a 1-0 defeat to Swedru All Blacks, and bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Young Apostles. Obeng acknowledged that his team has yet to find consistency in their performances but remains focused on their game plan as they aim to secure all three points against Medeama.

"It's very true we don't have consistency in our play, and it's something that we are working on. Looking at our game plan, that is what we are sticking to inside this game, and we have a plan we are using to take the three points," he told the club's media. Kotoko will be looking to capitalize on their recent victory over Young Apostles and aim for another positive result against the defending champions as they strive to elevate their position in the league standings.
