The Anker MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is brilliant, but not for Android
A great charger that isn't at its best with Android.
The Anker MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is a high-performance portable charger that offers fast charging speeds and a sleek design. Manufactured by Anker, a leading brand in charging technology, the MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is priced at $109.99 on Amazon and is available in four colors. Weighing 7.76 ounces and measuring 0.69 inches thick, the MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is lightweight and easy to carry in a bag or pocket, making it a convenient option for travelers or those seeking an extra power source for their devices.
The MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro supports up to 25W wireless charging and 45W wired charging, enabling users to charge compatible devices like the iPhone 18 Pro Max at impressive speeds. For instance, the MagGo managed to fully charge the iPhone 18 Pro Max in 1 hour and 40 minutes, with only a minor temperature increase during the process. However, the MagGo's wireless charging may not be the fastest method for refueling phones, especially when a fan is running.
When using Samsung's Clear Magnet Case for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, the MagGo struggled to connect at its maximum 20W capacity, instead oscillating between 5-8W. The charging process was slower for the Z Fold 8, taking nearly three hours to reach 100%. Despite its size, the MagGo's 45W wired input and output allow it to charge larger devices, such as the 14-inch MacBook Pro, in under an hour and 10 minutes, and the Razer Blade 14 in 50 minutes.
The MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro features an 18mm diameter SnapCool fan that activates at 15W wireless charging to maintain a warm but not uncomfortable temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. The fan is audible, but not overly loud, and can be turned off in Silent mode, albeit at the expense of performance. While the MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is a powerful charging solution with a host of features, its performance with certain devices, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, may be less than ideal, making it a recommended purchase for Android users seeking a reliable portable charger.
