Teen, 14, arrested for throwing stone that shattered KTMB train window in Arau

A 14-year-old secondary school student has been arrested in Arau for allegedly throwing a stone that shattered a window of a Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) train, according to Sinar Harian. The incident occurred on Thursday while the train was en route from Arau Station to Alor Setar. Arau district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Mohsin Md Rodi stated that the suspect admitted to the act, explaining that he was accompanied by four friends at the time and only he threw the stone, while his friends merely watched.

The suspect was detained under Operation Cantas by the Arau district Criminal Investigation Division along with the Arau police station task force. He was apprehended at a residence in Kampung Guar Sanji and was subsequently taken to Kangar police station lockup for further investigation. Police also recovered a Vivo Y05 mobile phone with a SIM card and a stone believed to be related to the case. Ahmad Mohsin added that the suspect had no previous criminal record.
