A video from a restaurant in Singapore has triggered criticism on social media after a customer was seen washing his hands right beside his dining table, despite a washbasin being available just a short distance away. The incident has drawn attention not just for the man's unusual choice of washing his hands but also for the reaction of the woman accompanying him. While the man splashes water…
An Instagram video from a Singaporean restaurant has sparked controversy, showing a man washing his hands beside his dining table, even though a washbasin was only a short distance away. The woman dining with him remained oblivious to the mess her husband was creating. The video, posted on the restaurant's Instagram page, depicts the man splashing water over his hands near the table, with water seeping onto the floor.
Despite the presence of a washbasin just a few steps away, the man chose to wash his hands in an unsanitary manner, causing the restaurant floor to become wet. A staff member was forced to mop the floor, while the diners continued to eat without showing any concern for the inconvenience they had caused. The video has prompted discussions online about the importance of dining etiquette, cleanliness, and showing respect to hospitality workers.
In response to the incident, the restaurant, DK Signatures, shared the video on their page along with a reminder for customers to use the available washbasin near the entrance and a toilet towards the back. The restaurant also mentioned that they provide soap and tissues for customers who wish to clean their hands properly.
