Samsung’s First Foldable Tablet Could Be Bigger Than Most Laptops

Samsung is reportedly in the process of developing a large foldable tablet that could exceed the size of most laptops. According to tipster @kro_roe on X, Samsung has already begun working on the device, though the company has not officially confirmed the project. The tablet would feature a 17-inch screen when fully unfolded and an 8-inch display when folded, making it significantly larger than Samsung's current foldable smartphones.

Multiple versions and test devices are reportedly in development, but the specific folding mechanism has yet to be determined. Samsung has previously explored large foldable displays through its Samsung Display division, though no commercial product has emerged. Launch dates and pricing remain unknown, with the tipster providing no details on the tablet's processor, battery, cameras, operating system, or other specifications.

The rumor comes amid ongoing exploration by smartphone manufacturers in the realm of foldable designs and larger screens.
