Ole Miss – Auburn OPEN thread

Oxford, Mississippi - October 17: Deuce Alexander of the Mississippi Rebels takes the field before the matchup against the Auburn Tigers at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. This game has been a source of tension for both programs, with the Tigers holding a slight edge in their recent rivalry. While Auburn has won six of their last eight meetings, the Rebels have managed to secure the last two.

Historically, the Rebels have not won a three-game winning streak against Auburn since 1949-1952. This year, however, the stakes seem higher as Ole Miss battles for a playoff spot while Auburn targets bowl eligibility. Auburn has had a strong season, including an upset victory over Georgia, but their future remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Ole Miss faces a tough challenge against Texas and a crucial game against Georgia next week.

The Rebels' quarterback, Trinidad Chambliss, is under pressure to redeem himself after a disappointing performance in their recent loss. In this game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Ole Miss must simply focus on winning to secure their playoff hopes.
