My Chemical Romance have announced their intention to work on a new album in 2027. The band's lead singer, Gerard Way, revealed this during the final show of their "The Black Parade Tour" at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday night. Way stated, "Next year, we want to go make a record, so we’re probably not doing any shows." He added, "We’d love to make it" and assured fans that the band wants to create another record for them, as they have supported the band for so long.
My Chemical Romance's most recent album, "Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys," was released in 2010, and they released a one-off "The Foundations of Decay" in 2022. Recently, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their hit album "The Black Parade" with a reissue.
