My Chemical Romance, the iconic emo band, will continue their The Black Parade Tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their classic album. On the final night of the tour at LA's Hollywood Bowl, the band revealed plans for a new album. Since their last studio release, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys in 2010, the group had released a greatest hits compilation in 2014 but no new material.
In 2022, they dropped a new song, The Foundations Of Decay, but no album followed. Last night, Gerard Way, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance, announced that they intend to make a new record next year, and they expect to perform live again in 2028. At the same event, the band also paid tribute to their former rivals, The Used, with McCracken joining MCR for two songs.
