'Chhota Bhai Samajh Ke Mitti Pao': CJP's Abhijeet Dipke Reaches Out To Diljit Dosanjh After Singer Clarifies On 'I'm An Artist Remark' At Delhi Concert

CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke has sought to reconcile his disagreements with Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh following the singer's clarification on his "I'm an artist" remark during a protest. In a social media post to Dosanjh, Dipke expressed his continued admiration for the artiste while acknowledging that he had been hurt by Dosanjh's comment during a June student protest.

Dipke emphasized that his disappointment stemmed from Dosanjh's personal statement rather than any personal animosity, and that the incident had not diminished his respect for Dosanjh or his contributions to promoting Punjabi music globally. He recounted attending Dosanjh's concert in Chicago before returning to India, and highlighted Dosanjh's courage and authenticity.

Dipke concluded his message by asking Dosanjh to treat him as a younger brother and let the matter go, ending with a line from Dosanjh's song. The dispute arose when Dosanjh was questioned about joining the CJP-led student protest at Jantar Mantar, with the singer distancing himself from the political aspect of the agitation and emphasizing his role as an artist, not a politician.
