BN akan beri jawatan Adun lantikan kepada PAS, dakwa pengerusi DAP Melaka

DAP Melaka's chairman, Khoo Poay Tiong, accuses the Barisan Nasional (BN) state president, Ab Rauf Yusoh, of offering a constituency seat to PAS in exchange for cooperation with Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the upcoming PRN Melaka polls on November 14. Khoo, who is also a member of Parliament for Kota Melaka, believes PAS will not be satisfied with just two seats, even if they win both in the PRN Melaka polls.

He claims that BN's state president is using the seven constituency seats to bargain, including with MCA after the party contested the seat distribution at the preliminary stage, according to Sin Chew news. Khoo asserts that Rauf has already promised two of the seven constituency seats to MCA. Pakatan Harapan (PH) has withdrawn from the state government led by BN following the approval of constitutional amendments allowing the appointment of up to seven un-elected candidates.

PH argues that the appointment contravenes democratic principles, despite Sabah, Terengganu, and Pahang also agreeing to the appointment. Beforehand, Rauf defended his stance by stating that the contested seats would be given to experts and professionals. BN is contesting 23 seats in the PRN Melaka polls through a coalition with PN, which is also contesting the remaining five seats.
