The Illinois-Springfield women's basketball exhibition game against No. 23 Illinois is set to take place on October 30th, in the State Farm Center in Champaign. The top scorers for Illinois, Molly Knight and Kayla Rice, are both returning from last year's 14-14 team, making the preseason coaches poll predictions of ninth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference accurate.
Coach Shauna Green hopes to emphasize discipline and consistency as her team prepares for the first game-like setting with the new-look Illinois bench featuring players like Maddie Webber, Aaliyah Guyton, Lety Vasconcelos, Manuella Alves, and Divine Bourrage.
