The Biggest Takeaways From Stockton Kings Media Day

The Stockton Kings have reached the NBA G League Finals twice in a row, winning their first championship. With a major roster turnover, the team features new faces, including two-way players from Sacramento and trade acquisitions. Stockton's winning culture is evident, despite the Sacramento Kings' lackluster playoff appearances in the past twenty years.

Many players emphasize defensive intensity and pace, two key elements of the team's previous system. Head Coach Will Scott stated, "We're looking forward to building on last season." Jonathan Mogbo, a former Toronto Raptor, highlighted his physicality and readiness to integrate within the system. Sean Pedulla, the new Sacramento Kings two-way player, expressed anticipation for playing in ball screens and making reads.

Viktor Lakhin, a Clemson alum, aims to improve his shooting and rebounding, while Tristen Newton, a UConn national champion, seeks to apply his winning pedigree in the pros. The team's depth includes players with NCAA Tournament experience, such as Black and Newton.
