Kwabena Bobie Ansah apologizes to Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale comparison

Accra FM host Kwabena Bobie Ansah has issued an apology to dancehall artist Stonebwoy after facing criticism for his remarks that compared Stonebwoy to Shatta Wale. The controversy ignited when Ansah declared his preference for Shatta Wale over Stonebwoy on air. He also accused Stonebwoy of being ungrateful for not sufficiently thanking Asamoah Gyan for his financial support with his knee surgery years ago.

In addition to the personal remarks, Ansah made disparaging comments about Stonebwoy's facial expression and suggested that he might harbor bitterness towards him. Stonebwoy responded to the comments by questioning the presenter's motives for making such personal attacks, noting that he chooses to respond in a calm manner out of respect for people around his age.

This response from Stonebwoy prompted Ansah to issue a formal apology, expressing that his intention was never to disrespect the musician. The presenter clarified that his comments were not intended to attack Stonebwoy personally, but rather a genuine observation that sparked a reaction from Stonebwoy's fanbase. Ansah acknowledged Stonebwoy's immense contribution to Ghana's music industry, describing him as a legend in his own right.

He acknowledged that his apology was not a result of insults from Stonebwoy's supporters, but rather his desire to rectify the situation as Stonebwoy had expressed displeasure over his comments. Ansah also extended an invitation for Stonebwoy to forgive him and hoped for a harmonious relationship moving forward.
