I need no assurances over Man Utd future — Carrick

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has stated that he does not require reassurances from the club's management regarding his future position, despite ongoing speculation following the team's poor results. This assertion was made during a press conference ahead of their upcoming Premier League match against Chelsea. Carrick's future has come under scrutiny following a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth that marked the club's worst-ever start to a Premier League season.

The club's chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox reportedly discussed the matter during a meeting at the Carrington training ground. Carrick emphasized his focus on his responsibilities as manager and expressed no need for guarantees about his position. He reiterated his commitment to the team and his desire to improve their performance, stating that he does not pay attention to media criticism and values the fans' experience at matches. Carrick confirmed that he would continue in his role for the upcoming Chelsea game.
