Zahid to discuss with Petronas its continued role as MotoGP’s main sponsor

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is set to speak with Petronas' CEO, Tengku Muhammad Taufik Aziz, regarding Petronas' continued sponsorship of MotoGP. During a meeting, MotoGP executive director Carmelo Ezpeleta expressed hope that Petronas would stay involved in the championship, citing the desire for Malaysia to be associated with the event.

Petronas is reportedly the final year as an organizer of the international motorcycle racing championship. While acknowledging that sponsorship costs may be high, Zahid believes several alternative approaches could be explored to ensure Petronas remains MotoGP's primary sponsor in the future.
