Raptors predicted to trade for ex-Celtics 2-time NBA champion, All-Star to pair with Kawhi Leonard
The Toronto Raptors are in a spot they can get better if they want to make another big deal. In this proposed trade, they get an elite defender with loads of NBA Finals success.
The Toronto Raptors are actively seeking to strengthen their roster with a superstar player to help them return to the NBA Finals. After a month-long delay due to an NBA investigation into the LA Clippers for salary cap violations, the Raptors have officially traded for Kawhi Leonard from the Clippers. The move has been made official following a brief pause in negotiations.
However, Leonard will miss a few games due to a knee injury, which has sidelined him for at least a week. The Raptors might explore additional trades to further improve their team, potentially pursuing veteran guard Jrue Holiday as a potential landing spot. Holiday's addition, paired with star players Scottie Barnes and Kawhi Leonard, could create a formidable defensive trio for the Raptors to contend with in future seasons.
