Nashville SC look set to equal MLS's single-season points record on Sunday when they face Red Bull New York at GEODIS Park in Nashville. Nashville currently leads the Eastern Conference with 71 points, and a victory over RBNY would tie the record held by Inter Miami CF. If the match ends in a draw or a win for Nashville, they could claim the outright record.
Meanwhile, RBNY sit 10th in the conference with 39 points and are two points shy of the ninth and final playoff spot. With their playoff hopes hanging in the balance, the outcome of the match could determine their fate.
