Reddit's homepage will soon feature both a "Following" feed and a "For You" feed, marking a significant change in the platform's user experience. This new layout allows users to view posts from subreddits they follow in one feed, along with recommendations tailored to their interests. The company announced this change, highlighting it as a step towards a more personalized and engaging Reddit experience.
The "For You" feed, which already appears on some accounts, appears to be more targeted than the now-deprecated "r/all" feed, which showed popular posts across the platform. Users can choose between this new layout and the traditional "Old Reddit" experience, which still allows sorting by "best," "hot," "new," "rising," and "controversial."
Reddit aims to create a "more human internet" where users actively participate and find value in the content they engage with.
