2027: Why Ogoni people will vote massively for Tinubu — Wike

The Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has stated that the Ogoni people in Rivers State will vote overwhelmingly for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, citing his establishment of the Federal University of Environment and Technology in the region. Wike also highlighted that Tinubu had appointed numerous Ogoni individuals to significant federal positions.

The university, established by the late Senator Barry Mpigi, is expected to boost the local economy through job creation, commerce, and overall development. Wike emphasized the importance of the university, noting that its full impact would become apparent in the years to come. He urged residents to appreciate its significance and support Tinubu's re-election bid.

Wike also called for political leaders in Tai Local Government to mobilize support for Tinubu and other Rainbow Coalition candidates, aiming for 70% of votes cast in their favor. He encouraged residents to carefully evaluate politicians' records rather than solely relying on campaign promises. Wike welcomed those who had returned to the Rainbow Coalition, stressing the importance of unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
