Floriani hits maiden goal as Lazio go top
ROME: Romano Floriani scored his first Serie A goal as Lazio soared to the top of the Italian league with a 6-2 thrashing of 10-man Sassuolo on Tuesday.
Romano Floriani, great-grandson of Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, scored his first Serie A goal as Lazio secured the top spot in the Italian league with a convincing 6-2 victory over 10-man Sassuolo. The young right-back netted in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a well-rounded Lazio attack that was already dominant before Sassuolo's Kristian Thorstvedt received a red card in the 31st minute.
Lazio's manager, Gennaro Gattuso, cautioned his team not to become complacent with their position, emphasizing the importance of maintaining hard work and consistency in their matches ahead.
