Proton has launched its Black Friday VPN prices – and they might have restored my faith in this year's deals

Proton has announced its Black Friday VPN deals, which are quite favorable. The standout offer is a 50% discount on the Proton Unlimited privacy suite, which is usually priced at $12.99 per month. Now, it's reduced to $6.49 per month, making a 12-month commitment cost $77.88. This makes Proton Unlimited the most affordable it's been since Black Friday 2025, and even lower than before.

Proton Unlimited bundles together the company's top-performing VPN with a suite of privacy-first cloud software alternatives to Google, including docs, photos, spreadsheets, email, and cloud storage, all encrypted and ad-free. The deal mentions: "Proton Unlimited: Save 50% on this VPN bundle Was: $12.99 per month Now: $6.49 per month".

In addition, Proton has also cut the price of its standalone VPN service. You can now get Proton VPN for $2.49 per month instead of $2.99 on a two-year plan, which is the best price available this year. The source notes: "You can now pick up Proton VPN for $2.49 per month instead of $2.99 on the two-year deal. Again, that's the best price you'll see all year."

Interestingly, Proton's Black Friday offers are the first to match last year's prices among most VPN providers. Many top VPNs either increased their prices or introduced new plans this year, making their Black Friday deals less attractive. Proton, on the other hand, has been steadily enhancing its VPN service rather than adding unwanted features.

They've expanded their server network, introduced their version of WireGuard, and focused heavily on performance. Proton's efforts have been so successful that the company has moved up to the third position in their overall VPN rankings.

For those seeking straightforward, high-quality VPN discounts for Black Friday, Proton VPN and Proton Unlimited are highly recommended. The offer provides a significant upgrade to your digital privacy and security without any confusing multi-plan options or fluctuating prices. The source concludes: "So, if you are looking for a plain, high quality set of VPN savings for Black Friday, then we highly recommend Proton VPN and Proton Unlimited.

There's no multi-plan confusion, no smoke and mirrors price fluctuations. Just a great price on a quality product that offers a big upgrade to your digital privacy and security. Go give it a try."
