Northern senators seek probe into killing of 26 Taraba worshippers

The Northern Senators Forum has called for a thorough investigation into the killing of at least 26 people in Binari community, Taraba State, following a barbaric attack by suspected bandits on Friday. The victims included women, children, Muslim worshippers, and members of a local vigilante group. The forum has urged security agencies to arrest and prosecute those responsible, and to reinforce security in the area by establishing a Forward Operating Base and intelligence-led patrols along the Kompany-Asusar route and the River Benue corridor. They also demanded humanitarian assistance for the affected residents and families.
