iOS 27.2 has been officially launched, bringing with it two new features specifically for iPhone Duo owners. The first addition is support for Apple Pencil, a functionality that was previously unavailable on the device. This update allows users to utilize an Apple Pencil (USB-C) to annotate documents, sketch, and take handwritten notes on both the outer and inner displays of the iPhone Duo. It is noteworthy that only the USB-C model of Apple Pencil is compatible with this feature.
The second new feature introduced in iOS 27.2 is Edge Light, a macOS capability that has been brought over to iOS exclusively for iPhone Duo. This feature adds a ring of light around the edges of the display, designed to illuminate the user's face during video calls. Edge Light can be used with FaceTime as well as popular third-party video calling applications like Zoom, making it a valuable tool for remote communication.
