Apple's 15-inch MacBook Air M5 with 24GB RAM plunges to $1,499

Prisma, a 40-inch curved 5K monitor developed by Mobile Pixels (MP), is set to debut with a preorder price of $999. This monitor is specifically designed with Apple's Mac mini in mind, incorporating various workstation accessories into a single display. The Prisma features an LG IPS Black panel with a resolution of 5120 × 2160 (5K), providing ample screen real estate for resource-intensive applications.

Equipped with an LG IPS Black panel and supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, the Prisma monitor delivers sharp visuals and smooth motion. Its wide color gamut, covering 99% of DCI-P3, ensures accurate color reproduction for professionals in creative fields like photo editing, video production, and graphic design.

The monitor's integrated docking station allows for seamless connectivity with USB-C, USB-A, and USB-B devices, as well as dedicated SD and microSD card readers. A built-in KVM switch enables users to share peripherals between two connected computers, while Picture-by-Picture functionality lets them display outputs from both systems simultaneously.

Prisma's design includes a dedicated cradle for Apple's Mac mini and Mac Studio, keeping the computers off the desktop and incorporating an active cooling system to maintain optimal temperature. Additionally, a 15W wireless charging pad provides a designated spot for charging compatible smartphones without the need for extra accessories.

The Kickstarter campaign for Prisma has secured $434,707 from 392 backers, with deliveries expected in January 2027. Despite the reduced price tag of $999 during the introductory offer, the campaign emphasizes that Kickstarter contributions do not guarantee product delivery. Potential backers should exercise caution and conduct thorough research before committing to a purchase.
