Alexia Putellas and Luis Suárez's advice
The Spaniard wins her third Ballon d'Or and ties with Aitana Bonmatí after a season in which she won everything with Barça before saying goodbye
Alexia Putellas received a letter from Luis Suárez after winning her first Ballon d'Or. Suárez, the only Spanish-born player to have won the France Football award before 29 November 2021, wrote about his own experience of winning the trophy in 1960. He encouraged Putellas, telling her that the award should be a starting point, not a goal. Putellas was inspired by the message and responded gratefully to the former Barcelona and Inter player.
