2027: Peter Obi has nothing to offer Nigerians — Shettima

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has dismissed presidential candidate Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, stating that Obi has nothing to offer Nigerians beyond citing statistics. At an event in Abuja, Shettima urged members of the country's economic community to back the Federal Government's policies, particularly its stance on petrol subsidy removal.

Shettima compared fuel prices in Nigeria with those in neighboring nations, highlighting the economic implications of the country's previous fuel pricing arrangements. He noted that while Nigeria previously consumed 67 million liters of fuel per day, neighboring countries like Niger, Benin, and Cameroon now charge significantly higher prices per liter of fuel.
