The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled its National Campaign Council list for the 2027 elections, sparking mockery from the Presidency. Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, took to his verified X account to criticize the NDC's selection, describing it as being full of content creators.
Bwala highlighted that the NDC chair, Seriake Dickson, and co-chair, Peter Obi, have refused to disclose their campaign media surrogates, presenting them as on-air personalities. The NDC's announcement included Peter Obi as Co-Chairman, presidential candidate Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, Rabiu Kwankwaso as Co-Vice-Chairman, and vice-presidential candidate.
This comes after the Presidency repeatedly labeled Peter Obi as a content creation candidate, accusing him of replacing seasoned politicians with social media influencers after they departed his campaign.
